The 24^th anniversary of the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards was marked on 12 February 2026 at the ICC with a glistering ceremony that crowned 2026 winners across fourteen categories, including:

• Outstanding Student Contribution of the Year
• Apprentice of the Year
• Pro Bono Award of the Year
• Trainee Solicitor of the Year
• Paralegal of the Year
• Legal PA of the Year
• Solicitor of the Year
• Junior Barrister of the Year
• Barrister of the Year

Professor Benedict Abrahamson Chigara remarked that, “The competition had showcased exceptional talent among the shortlisted candidates in the categories I was privileged to adjudicate from No 5 Chambers, Colmore Row. It was painstakingly difficult for the panel of judges to pick one winner for each category as each shortlisted candidate gave more than a strong shout for selection.

“Congratulations and well done to all the candidates that made the shortlist, and especially to the winners.”
