Explore Key Themes Through Reflection and Real-World Application
You will study five core areas: Health Inequalities and Social Justice, Epidemiology and Research Methods, Public Health Policy and Leadership, Health Promotion and Community Engagement, and Global and Environmental Health. These are explored through taught modules and a final research project, giving you the space to reflect, challenge assumptions and apply learning to real-world contexts. You will deepen your understanding of data interpretation, ethics, systems-level change and community-led initiatives. Learning is brought to life through collaborative workshops, applied case studies and meaningful engagement with local partners and experts by experience, helping you build confidence in research, advocacy and inclusive practice.

Undergraduate Degree of at least 2:2 Classification, preferably in a health-related discipline. Students who do not meet the above criteria may be considered based on equivalent qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a public health related discipline with evidence of role(s) and experience gained. You may be called for an interview to discuss your application further. Plus: • GCSE/IGCSE English language and maths grades 9-4/A*-C or equivalent • IELTs Level 6.5 in all areas

Additional Costs
The University will review tuition fees and increase fees in line with any inflationary uplift as determined by the UK Government, if permitted by law or government policy, in subsequent years of your course. It is anticipated that such increases would be linked to RPI (the Retail Price Index excluding mortgage interest payments).

Accreditations and Exemptions
The MPH is aligned with the UK Public Health Knowledge and Skills Framework and promotes the standards identified in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) Code of Practice. While it does not currently offer formal exemptions from external bodies, the course provides a robust foundation for professional development and career progression. Graduates are well suited to roles in the NHS, local authorities, charities and international organisations, with opportunities in health promotion, education, research, policy and community development. The programme also supports progression to doctoral study or specialist public health training.
