which provides students with the academic, clinical and personal learning necessary to achieve registration as a UKCP-registered psychotherapist. Graduates from this programme go on to work as psychotherapists and counsellors in a range of public, private and voluntary sector contexts. The programme prepares students to work effectively with a wide range of adult clients.  <\/p>\n<p>The MSC in Integrative Psychotherapy combines rigorous academic learning of relevant theoretical and practical knowledge alongside a strong emphasis upon developing reflective capacity and personal competence. Alongside their academic learning students are required to complete a clinical placement from their second year onwards where they will do a minimum of 450 hours of client work. The approach to integration is taught in stages across the first three years of the programme. In addition to their university studies, students will undertake weekly personal therapy across the four years of the programme and will be in clinical placement from year 2 onwards. <\/p>\n<p>In year one you learn your foundational, relational approach based on an integration of Gestalt and Psychodynamic principles whilst also covering ethics and professional practice issues in preparation for the responsibilities of undertaking placement work. You will also learn the fundamentals of relational presence and awareness via guided small group practice. <\/p>\n<p>In year two your relational awareness is deepened by greater emphasis upon unconscious processes and you will learn developmental frameworks.
