Let’s keep adding more and more events to test pagination. This one also has a really long title to test what happens when you have a really long title.

Join us for University Horizons, a flagship event bringing together students, academics, and sector leaders for a day of insight, inspiration and forward-thinking discussion. Whether you’re a prospective student considering your next steps, a current undergraduate curious about what the future holds, or a staff member looking to connect with broader conversations in higher education, this event promises something for everyone.
The day begins with a welcome address from the Vice-Chancellor, followed by a keynote lecture from Professor Amara Whitcombe, a nationally recognised voice in digital pedagogy and student engagement. Professor Whitcombe will explore how education is adapting to the evolving needs of learners and the wider world—from AI integration and hybrid learning models to inclusivity and wellbeing in university settings.
What’s it all about?
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a range of breakout sessions and panel discussions. Topics will include:
- Rethinking Assessment: Moving Beyond Exams
- Student Voices in Policy and Curriculum Design
- Belonging and Community in a Post-Pandemic University
- Leading for Change: How Today’s Students Shape Tomorrow’s World
There will also be opportunities for informal networking over coffee, lunch provided by our on-campus caterers, and a closing student-led Q&A panel where attendees can ask questions about academic life, career planning, and making the most of your university journey.
