In order to study and live in the UK you’ll need a visa.  You will need to apply for this within three months of your course start date.  It can be a long process, so please leave plenty of time.

To be eligible for a student visa via the Student Route, you must meet the following criteria before applying:

  1. Access the e-visa service: Visit the UK Government’s ‘View and Prove’ service.
  2. Log in: Use the details you provided when applying for your visa, typically your passport or travel document details, along with your date of birth.
  3. Generate a share code: Select the option to ‘prove your status to someone’ and choose the type of code that allows an organisation to verify your right to study.
  4. Share with the University: Make sure your share code is valid when submitting it, as it expires after 30 days. The University will use the share code to ensure that you have the correct permissions/right to study.
