We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation Manager to lead the operational management of our student residential service at Birmingham Newman University. This role is central to delivering a high-quality, student-focused accommodation experience, ensuring compliance with housing standards, supporting student welfare, and developing our residential offer in line with university strategy.

The Accommodation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running and continuous development of halls of residence. Key areas include accommodation allocations, licence management, welfare and disciplinary support, compliance with the ANUK/Unipol Code of Practice, occupancy growth, and line management of the Accommodation Administrator and Res Life team. The postholder will also coordinate arrivals, departures, maintenance reporting, and incident response, working closely with Estates, Student Services and other departments to enhance the overall student experience.

Applicants should have proven experience in managing student accommodation or a similar residential service, with strong knowledge of housing compliance and student welfare support. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to lead a team, handle complex student issues, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) is required.
