It is important to be aware of current affairs and business news; so watching the news from a variety of sources is important. BBC News and CNN are useful TV sources.
Magazines such as The Economist, and The Financial Times newspaper will also keep you up to date with economic news.
For Academic Writing, books by Stella Cottrell (available through any book retailer/library) will provide you with an understanding of how to approach academic writing and critical thinking which are an essential part of university studies.
