Green Week – 23 to 27 February 2026

Join us for Green Week 2026, a campus-wide celebration of sustainability, wellbeing, and environmental action.

Throughout the week, you’ll find a packed programme of activities, workshops, exhibitions, and opportunities to get involved with eco‑initiatives across campus.

Whether you’re looking to learn something new, connect with others, or make a positive impact on our community, there’s something for everyone. Explore the schedule below and take part in as many events as you like!

Green Week schedule

Monday 23 – Garden decoration making, Transport for West Midlands, Climate Ambassadors

• Garden decoration making with the SU (Make Space) – 12pm–2pm (atrium)
• Transport for West Midlands – 10am to 12pm (atrium)
• Climate Ambassadors – 10am to 1pm (atrium)

Tuesday 24 – Bird bingo nature walk, Visitor exhibition

• Bird bingo nature walk – 12pm (Sports Department)
• Visitor exhibition – 10am to 3pm (BFOE, Biffa, community police officers)

Wednesday 25 – Garden terrace planting, Eco Birmingham, Cuppa and chat

• Garden terrace planting – 12pm to 2pm
• Eco Birmingham – 11am to 2pm
• Cuppa and chat (SU) – 2pm to 3pm

Thursday 26 – Charity shop stalls, Birmingham Newman stall with freebies

• Charity shop stalls – 11am to 2pm (atrium)

Friday 27 – Green yoga, Film screening, Photography competition winner announced

• Green yoga nature meditation – 12pm to 1pm (DA116)
• Film screening of The Lorax – 5.30pm (ST002)
• Photography competition winner announced
