Course fees and Scholarships
The course fees for international students are as follows:
Postgraduate international course fees
The full-time, postgraduate course fees and funding, for academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27 are:
Academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27
- Postgraduate Taught: £13,500 tuition fee
- International Excellence Scholarship: £5,500
- Net Fees: £8,000
All International Students who apply in 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be eligible for the International Excellence Scholarship which will be automatically applied to their offer as a tuition fee reduction.
International students must pay fees and deposit amounts as instructed within their offer letter.
Undergraduate international course fees
The full-time, undergraduate course fees and funding, for academic year 2025/26 and 2026/27 are:
- Undergraduate Taught: £12,500 tuition fee
- International Excellence Scholarship: £1,500
- Net Fees: £11,000
All International Students who apply in 2025/26 and 2026/27 will be eligible for the International Excellence Scholarship which will be automatically applied to their offer as a tuition fee reduction.
International Scholarships
Birmingham Newman University – GREAT Scholarship 2026 (Ghana)
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Birmingham Newman University is pleased to offer one GREAT Scholarship for a student from Ghana applying for a one‑year, full‑time postgraduate programme in MSc International Business Management, MA Education, or Master of Public Health.
The GREAT Scholarships 2026 programme—delivered by the British Council in collaboration with over 60 UK universities—supports postgraduate students from a range of countries, including Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam, to access world‑class UK higher education.
This scholarship provides a minimum award of £10,000 towards tuition fees for one‑year postgraduate study in the UK. Eligible students can choose from a wide range of postgraduate courses at participating institutions in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Be a passport holder and permanent resident of Ghana.
- Be assessed as an international student for tuition fee purposes.
- Have applied for, accepted an offer, and met all conditions of your chosen programme by 31 May 2026.
- Not be in receipt of any other funding from Birmingham Newman University or an external body.
Supporting Statement
Applicants must submit a supporting statement of no more than 400 words (statements exceeding the limit will be automatically rejected).
Your statement should clearly explain:
- Academic achievements you are proud of and why they matter to you.
- Your reasons for choosing the degree you have applied for.
- Your future goals and how receiving the GREAT Scholarship will help you achieve them.
Statements will be assessed on how clearly, convincingly, and effectively these criteria are addressed.
