As part of a franchise arrangement, Birmingham Newman University retains responsibility for key aspects of the academic experience, academic quality and standards of the programme and the student outcomes. While some activities may be undertaken by the partner, ultimate responsibility for these areas remains with the University.
The University, therefore, retains responsibility for a range of core academic and student administration functions, from registration and enrolment through to the conferral of awards and the issuing of official transcripts and certificates. To support the delivery of these functions, and the University’s wider academic, regulatory and oversight responsibilities, Birmingham Newman University retains a proportion of each student’s tuition fee.
