At an exciting time in its history, Birmingham Newman University is looking to recruit a new Academic Registrar.
On the eve of the publication of our new strategic plan, and during a time of significant growth and success, we are excited to welcome a leader who can contribute to the next phase in our development.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Academic Registrar upholds the value of our academic awards and leads all aspects of student administration at the university. The Academic Registrar has oversight and responsibility for all administration processes underpinning the student journey, including their registration and enrolment and the conferment of academic awards.
We are looking for an experienced leader of high performing teams who is capable of being a real catalyst for change and continuous improvement across Academic Registry. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, and who can ensure we translate that thinking into effective operational practices.
Birmingham Newman University is more than a place of study or work. It is a community rooted in care, respect, and ambition for our staff our students and the University as a whole; where staff and students work together making a difference not only in their own lives, but in their communities, professions, and the wider world. We are proud to have recently been named The Times and Sunday Times University of the Year for Social Inclusion (2026), ranked 1st in England for Student Satisfaction in the Complete University Guide (2025), and named West Midlands University of the Year by WhatUni (2025).
