Biography

Satnam is a qualified solicitor with extensive practice experience in criminal law and employment law.

In criminal law, he has worked on various cases including complex fraud, organised crime, homicide to name a few and in employment matters he has advocated on all forms of discrimination, redundancy, dismissal and TUPE including advising clients on all matters pertaining to employment contracts and policies. He brings this experience to academia, incorporating this into his teaching establishing him as a knowledgeable and engaging senior lecturer.

His academics include an LLM in International Law and Human Rights, a first degree in Law (LLB Hons) and various postgraduate qualifications in law including Legal Practice. As a qualified solicitor he is a member of the Law Society. He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education affording him fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Programme lead for both Law LLB (Hons) and Law with Legal Practice LLB (Hons). Teaching responsibilities and module lead for:

  • AI, Emergent Technologies Law

Administrative Responsibilities

Satnam is responsible for the day-to-day administrative management of both degrees; Law LLB Hons and Law with Legal Practice LLB Hons.

Membership of Professional Organisations

Registered Member of the Law Society of England and Wales and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
